Verify urgent requests independently
A familiar voice, image, or profile can be copied. If a message asks for money, credentials, or a verification code, contact the person or business through a number or website you already trust.
Check the site and charge
Open the provider from its known domain. Compare the total charge and renewal date before paying, especially if a page advertises a monthly equivalent for an annual subscription. Keep the receipt and any cancellation confirmation.
Respond to a compromised account
Change the password through the official site and update any other account where you reused it. Enable multifactor authentication and contact your payment provider about unauthorized charges.
